Inspire those around you

Inspire those around you!!

Good morning crafty  friends
Im up on the Victorine Originals blog today to share another inspiration project using  the wings stamps from the wings set by our very own Victorine Originals

Here is my canvas

I started out by using black gesso on my canvas.  I then went over it using Decoart crackle paint.
After letting it dry for a bit I highlighted it in a few spots with
A sparkling powder from my stash.
I mean i dont even know where I got this stuff but I love it.

I stamped my wings on card stock and heat embossed them.

I then touched up the sides and splattered a little on the peice with black paint.
I added some gauze, yes gauze.. Its unbelievable where we find some stuff. Hehe. I then attatched my wings.  I also added a sweet saying.
Inspire thise around you!!
Something we should do.
Inspire.

I hope you enjoyed my canvas today.

Your Wings Were Ready/VO Challenge #9 Wings

Your Wings Were Ready
Victorine Originals
Challenge #9
Wings

Hey there crafty friends.
Today is the day for another challenge over on the Victorine Originals blog!!!!

Our Inspiration Mood board is wonderful.
Plenty to get you inspired.

The Theme is Wings, but you can choose anything from one of the pictures that inspire you or you can go with one or more of the colors.
Plenty of room to create something and join in the fun.
As always there is something to be won if you enter. So head on over now and link up your project.

Now onto my inspiration for you.

I made a beautiful canvas for you today using the wings from Victorine Originals Wings set (10580-X)

And a slightly different view.

I'm going to be honest, this was a tricky one for me. Considering the theme.
My family just lost my Dad a couple weeks ago.  Life hasn't been the same for me. When I returned home to find which stamps I was sent to use for this challenge and I saw the wings, I just broke down.
But I knew I had to do something, like it was a sign. I had to in some way use this as part of my morning for my Dad. And a way to channel my heart thru my art.
I was pretty set on using the saying as soon as I saw it!!!

I started with a clean canvas. I used DecoArt modeling paste with some stencils to add texture and used some distress stain directly to the canvas.
It was more of a test. I didn't know how the canvas would take it without using gesso first.  It did soak up some of the stain but it did hold it pretty well.

I gathered quite a few peices from my stash and started peices everything together.
When I found the Hot air balloon, I thought it was perfect.
I stamped the wings to white card stock and after painting the hot air balloon white, attached the wings to the side.
I left it white as if it was my dad's last ride to heaven.
After rearranging peices for a while, I began painting and adding color here and there.
After everything was attached, I splattered a little white paint.
My words are stickers that I stuck to a page from an old book, then cut out.
Wings were cut out using an alphabet die.

So now it's time to join in the challenge over at Victorine Originals!!
Link up your project before the deadline.

Thank you for stopping by today.
I hope I was able to inspire you with my canvas, and maybe you can take a few words to think about when you go.

If your parents are still here... Love them, hug them, call them, help them, cherish them.
It's too late when they are gone.
Cherish those memories.
Heaven received one heck of a man!!!
This one's for you Daddy!!!

Hugs
Amy

Thanks for being you

Thanks for being you

Good morning crafty friends! I'm up on the Victorine Originals blog today to share a Thank You card I made using a fun Angel from the Beautiful Angel set.    (10566-X)
(74407-B) from Victorine Originals

I thought of making a Thank you card because I am so thankful for my DT sisters and Sabrina for covering for me the last few weeks while I dealt with a death in my family of a very important person to me.
So to all of you, really a Thank you doesn't seems to be enough. But a huge
 THANK YOU LADIES!!!

And the inside

I started out by choosing some fun and colorful papers from my stash.
I then die cut the pretty design and backed it in white card stock.
I then stamped directly on the paper.
I also die cut for the sentiment.  I layered a few colors and attached them to my card.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.
Thank you for stopping by and don't forget to join in our challenge  HERE which will be ending soon.
Here's the mood board again for that challenge

Be sure to join in and here is my inspiration peice I made for the challenge.

Love You Canvas -Purple Challenge #8

Love You Canvas
Victorine Originals
Purple Challenge

Hey crafty friends.
Today is the first day of a new challenge

Here is our mood board for inspiration

You can use anything that inspires you from the board. The theme is purple, use the color purple or something from the pictures that inspires you.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I made a mixed media canvas using Victorine Originals small and Medium butterfly.
I started my canvas by using tissue paper from Hazel and Ruby and Modge Podge to cover the canvas. After drying it gives the canvas a slick surface.
I then added the clock peices using an Andy Skinner stencil and modeling paste.
I added paint here and there, I stamped the butterflies in different places.
Then dabbed it with white paint to give it a different effect.
I also painted and stamped a tag to add demention.
I added paper lace and flowers as well as a few other peices from my stash.
I used chalk markers on the clock numbers to make them pop.
The last thing was the wood Love You peices.

I hope my project inspire you to join in our challenge over on the Victorine Originals blog.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to head over and see what the rest of the DT has made to inspire you too.

Hugs
Amy
