Halloween!!! Shadow box Oriental Trading Company

Halloween
Spooky
Shadow box
Display
Oriental Trading Company

Hey crafty friends, today I have an amazing spooky shadow box and display to share with you.

I started out with these small unfinished wood boxes that were sent to me from Oriental Trading Company.
I glued 4 of them together
After that I used gesso to seal the wood.

I then painted the boxes black
Using DecoArt black paint.
As I was painting I decided to go over the tops lightly to give it a spooky look.
I found some neat Halloween paper in my stash to back each box.
I also was sent out these cool wooden skulls which also painted with gesso.
I started adding different peices of halloween themed papers and stickers and other embellishments until I was happy with them. I used my punches for the trees, hot glue for the spider web. And popsicle sticks to bring things out 3D.
I cut the spider web out of the spider glitter tape, I was sent and placed it on top of my hot glue web.
After everything was attached I decided to do more around my shadow box to make a display.
I used these beautiful Frosted vases and attached labels to them.

Adding to the display I used these unfinished wood slat pieces to which I cut out these cool sign looking papers from my Halloween paper collection I had.
To top it off, I added lights I had laying around to make the display look even spookier. I was very happy with all these products. It took a little creativity on my part, but I'm really happy with the outcome.
Here are a few more close up photos

So today I'm sharing a shadow box I made using Victorine Originals Pumpkins on a vine stamp (2587) Large Sunflower (5044-S) and the Fall Bounties (74448-D) stamps.

Here is my project

I started out by stamping the sunflower on yellow paper. I attached it to the back of the wooden box. I then stamped the pumpkins on different paper and fussy cut them out. I highlighted the vines with glitter gel pens.
I used my punches to punch out the leaves and the cute lil' chicks.

Perfection

Perfection

Hey craft friends,
Today I'm up on the Victorine Originals blog sharing a card I made using Victorine Originals the woman in dress stamp.
The details on this stamp are amazing.

Here is my card

And a closer look at the image

I started out by embossing my card stock using an embossing folder.
I added color with ink to enhance the design.
I cut out a pretty paper I found using an oval die.
I then stamped my image in the die cut piece.
After attatching to my card base, I added a flower and a sentiment.
I also added pearls to give it a final touch.

This stamp is so beautiful and it can be found here
I decided this card can also be used as a mid-challenge inspiration.
So don't forget to go check out the challenge that is up right now to find out the details.
Here is the mood board again

Pearls and Lace Victorine Originals challenge 11

Pearls and lace
A lil bit of
Wonderful

Hey crafty friends.
Up again with another challenge with Victorine Originals.

Here is the mood board

Remember you can use anything from this to create your project.
Be inspired by one of the pictures, the theme or the colors.
There is so much to be inspired by.

Heres my inspiration for you today

I made a canvas using the wedding couple silhouette stamp. Its a beautiful stamp.
I started out with my background.
I used gesso to seal the canvas especially because I planned to use Ken Oliver Liquid Metals and Mineral Bursts.
By sealing the canvas, the colors will run with water and dry right on top.
If you don't use gesso then the canvas itself will soak up the color and water.
You wont get the same effect.
After spritzing with water I moved my canvas around adding color until I was happy with it.
I allowed it to dry mostly in its own, then used my heat gun to give it a last good dry.
I stamped my image on a waxy type cardstock and heat embossed it in purple.
I attached it to my canvas and started lining up flowers around the image.
I also found a bottle cap and the perfect charm.
I thought my canvas should have at least a word or sentiment. So I chose the word "Wonderful".
I had a peice of chipboard so I used gesso on it as well, then used liquid metals and mineral bursts to add color.
Wonderful was a rub on, it was a little tricky to get to stick to my peice after adding everything else. But after a bit it managed to do what I kept telling it to do.
I went over it with matte medium to seal it in place.

I hope you liked my project today and it inspired you some how to join in the fun.
There is a prize up for grabs too!!!
Head on over and check out the details on the Victorine Originals blog.
I cant wait to see your projects.

Game Day!!!

Game Day!!!

Good morning crafty friends, I am over on the Victorine Originals blog today sharing a canvas I made.
Head on over and make sure to leave a comment.

Today I'm sharing a project with you that is a little different than my normal mixed media canvas peices.
I am using the football stamp from our own Victorine Originals.

Here is my canvas.

I started out with a blank canvas and paint it blue.  I used two different color blues and mixed them as I was painting to cover the entire canvas.
I then came back and painting paw prints and tiger stripes on the canvas.
At this point I knew it needed a lil more edge, so I painted on claws and claw marks.
I also had a blank wooden football I knew I was going to use. I painted it to look like an actual Football and then stamped this cool football stamp right on the football.
I also added the number 29.

The number 29 represents my son's Jersey#.
He is playing football this year. And really has it in his heart to play.
I'm not the normal sports mom. He did play basketball last year and was in karate a few years before that.
But this is a whole new level for me.
I don't watch football but I'm sure learning the game now that he is playing. Or at least trying to.

The name of the Team is the Tigers.
When I knew I was going to use this stamp, I knew I was going to do something for my son's wall.
I actually had started out wood burning on the wooden football but it became a quick fail.  I'm am still fairly new to wood burning and it just wasn't turning out the way I had planned. I think we all have these days or projects.
I ordered a new wooden football and was on my way yet again.
I used his Jersey as inspiration, so I thought it was more meaningful to take the photos with it in the background.
He loves it by the way.

Don't forget to join in our challenge that is still going on over at Victorine Originals.

Here is the mood board

And the theme is fall sports.
So you can either use fall, sports or anything the mood board, even colors.
I can't wait to see your projects.

Celebrate card Victorine Originals Sports/Fall challenge

Fall sports challenge

Hey crafty friends
Today is the day for another great challenge.

Here is the wonderful mood board

Here is the card I made to inspire you.

I used Victorine Originals Large Sunflower stamp.

I started out by stamping the sunflower on white cardstock using a Kaleidecolor stamp pad.  I then layered different fall colored paper behind the image.
I used Core'dinations gemstone pearlesant cardstock for glimmer.
I then chose a different color for the card base than I originally planned because it looked better.
I also used a little linen thread and a rub on sentiment.
I hope my card has inspired you today.
Please head over to the challenge blog and check out the rest of the DT's projects.
Some pretty neat inspiration to miss out on.

Now head over and link up your project for your chance to win.
You have two weeks until the next challenge is up.
Good luck.

Hugs
