Hello my Crafty Friends

Today is the Day for our next Challenge at

PYC#10
The Theme this challenge is:
CHRISTMAS

Oh the magic of Christmas.  It is a time for family and celebrating.
And in every kids eyes it is time for Santa and presents.
Which brings me to my first project I did to inspire you to join along in our challenge.

I made these cute gift packages.  I like making things a little different to put under the tree each year as a little surprise or just something different from the normal gift wrapping.  So I made these boxes using Bella Blvd. Christmas Countdown collection.

I love seeing cute wrapped presents under the Christmas tree.
These are made from 12X12 cut down to 12X11. I used my score board to shape the boxes. They are of good size and can fit a many of different gifts including small wine bottles.

I also couldn't stop there. This collection is so adorable I also made a couple tags.  You couldn't have presents with out tags.
I used Crafters Companion fairy stamp and colored it with Faber castell Gelatos and added Tim Holtz Distress ink Picked Raspberry to distress the edges. On my second tag I used Best Creations glitter paper.
I hope I have inspired you to join in our challenge and make sure you check out The Paper Parade store for all your crafty supply needs.  She is having a wonderful sale that is going on right now too.
If I don't see you around.  Have a Very Merry Christmas and enjoy your family and friends.
Merry Christmas to All and All a Good night.
Thanks for visiting

Pinque Peacock

Check out my Projects over @

I am a designer for The Paper parade @ http://paradeyourcrafts.blogspot.com/.  A mother of 2 wonderful kiddos that mean the world to me.    I have been crafting and creating for many years but just started back up the last 2 years.  I have always been artistic and Love making things with my hands.  I love to draw, anything mixed media, making cards, and things on canvas.  I love trying new things and new techniques.

Hi everyone.  Today I made a Christmas card for all of you using Pinque Peacock's amazing handmade goodies.  I used papers from Authentique -  Strong collection, Pink Paislee - City Sidewalks - Santa's workshop, And a cute snowman stamp from my stash.  I colored it with spectrum noir markers and added a little stickles to my snow man. I then added a Beautiful Christmas colored Pearl stick pin and one of their new Christmas Layered Garden Beauties. Which was the perfect last touch my card needed. I hope you stop in and take a look at what Jessica has to offer in her store at Pinque Peacock.  There is so many Beautiful goodies over there. I hope I have inspired you to go take a look as well as get your craft on.

Parade Your Crafts Challenge #8 - Grateful

Parade Your Crafts Challenge #8

Hi there my crafty friends.
This month is a month to be Thankful.

No matter your situation,
You  may think you have it rough or are going through a hard time but you still have something to be thankful for.

Challenge #8 Theme is GRATEFUL
AT

For my project I used Authentique collection - Thankful
That Lisa sent me from The Paper Parade
I love this collection. It is so Pretty.
I started off thinking I was going to make a card but
I ended up making a mini album.
Once I got started, I could not stop.
Everything just flowed so well with this collection.
Running out of paper is what actually stopped me for doing more.
Here is my mini album:

 I used Fancy Pants Designs
The Good life Collection
Chipboard Alpha's and covered them in Authentique Thankful collection.
I am Thank for for my family and my friends.  They are so precious to me.  They are always there when times are tough and even when times are the best.
You will see as I go through my album, I coordinate my paper patterns from one page to the next. The letters of Thankful become the background of the 2nd page and the pattern paper behind the letters on the 2nd page is the background on the 3rd.
"The Thankful receiver bears a plentiful harvest"
This is so true.  If your are thankful for what you have, you become more Thankful for what you continue to receive.
I am so Thankful for my furry friends.  I have 4 of them at the moment. They sure do give you unconditional love.  You can do no wrong in their eyes. They never judge you, just love you.
I decided to not only put the things I was thankful for but also Positive Quotes to remind me to be thankful.
I also used things I forgot I had or had no use for until now in this album.  It made me Thankful that I held onto these embellishments knowing one day, they would be perfect for something.
I love using Texture on my creations too.
You will see the texture throughout.
Each page has some sort of texture.
I think it really makes the pages pop out.

Now it is your turn to share with us as the Quote above says
"If you are really Thankful...
What do you do???
You Share"

I hope I have inspired you to join us at
For our 8th Challenge.

Head on over and link up your projects.
There is a chance to win a wonderful prize from
The Paper Parade too.

Supplies used:
May Arts burlap ribbon
Fiskars Punches: petal by petal, furry friends, Give it a swirl.
Little Yellow Bicycle:  wooden Bird embellishment
And many more.

Thank you for stopping by
Hugs

Parade Your Crafts Challenge #6 - Halloween

Hello my crafty friends.
It is that time again for a new challenge for Parade Your Crafts.
You can find the challenge here:

The Theme is: HALLOWEEN

The Design Team - Krewe 1 has come up
with some pretty amazing inspirational projects
for all of you.

Halloween is a time of year for so many fun things to do.
Not only is it Fall and the weather is cooler but all the colors
come to us to use to create so many neat things.
I also love Halloween because of my kids.
I loved it as a kid and want my kids to have just as much fun.
So Today I am not only going to show you my projects but a couple projects my kiddos made too for the challenge.  Maybe your kiddos would like to get involved this time around too. I love
seeing kids get creative.  We all have a creative side we sometimes just need a little encouragement. So with out further ado...

My son made this cute card, all my himself. He is 8 Years old and loved getting involved and being able to create.
and the inside.....
And then my 15 yr. old daughter got into my stash and came up with this Beauty....
I love the black and Purple together.
They did such a wonderful job.
Now I had so many idea's on creating.  I think it is because Halloween is such a fun time to create. I have done 2 projects for you today. First up is my card:
This was so much fun. I had these funky fibers too that really brought out the black and whites.  And then I wanted to do something a little different
So I decided to make a witch's hat.
This was so much fun especially with these papers. This is the Authentic - Thrilling collection.
for the images and a few other things I had laying around.

I hope I have inspired you to join in our challenge.

Make sure you go over and enter @ Parade Your Crafts

Parade Your Crafts Challenge # 5 - Fall

Hello my crafty friends,
Here we are again with another challenge
from Parade Your Crafts.

Can you believe we are already on Challenge #5??
Me neither.  Time sure does fly, doesn't it?

Well lets get this party started then.....

The Challenge Theme this time is...FALL

Fall is a Beautiful time of the year and my favorite.
All those leaves changing from red to orange and yellow.
It is just a Beautiful time to be inspired.
The first project I made is a card.  I used
Reminisce -Autumn Harvest collection.

This is a beautiful collection of papers and works so well with Fall colors.
I layered a couple of the pretty papers turning one to give it a cute look.  I then took a stamp "Jump Rope" from Unity and colored it with red, orange and yellow ink.  I took another piece of white card stock and colored it up with oil pastels rubbing with my finger to blend the color together. Oil pastels are really fun to play with. I used my Fiskars  Punch Fiskars Large Squeeze Punch - Leafin Aroundhttp://www.thepaperparade.com/fiskars-large-squeeze-punch-leafin-around/
You can find it at this link
I punched out 3 leaves and backed them with bright yellow paper.

Here is a close-up

For my 2nd project I decided to make a tag to go with my card.

Using the same paper collection, again used my Fiskars punches, oil pastels to find the vibrant colors of fall and I also wrapped my leaf this time with silver wire.
Here is a closer pic to see the wire...
I also distressed my edges a little with brown ink to pull your eye to the middle.
I hope I inspired you to join in and make something of your own for fall.  Join in our Challenge at: http://paradeyourcrafts.blogspot.com/
It will be fun and there are prizes to be won.
YAY!!!
 We all like Prizes right???

Make sure you stop by The Paper Parade for all your crafty supply needs too.  There is always Great prices and savings.

Parade Your Crafts Challenge #3 - Anything Goes

Good Morning my Crafty Friends!!!

Today is the day for our next challenge over at
PYC.....

The theme of the challenge is: Anything goes.

For my project I am using Jillibean Soup.
Sent out by the lovely Lisa from her store The Paper Parade.

I started out by cutting out the card shapes since the image in my head said these would be great to make your own envelopes out of.  I used my scor-pal score board to shape my envelopes or seed packets out of card stock. And adhered the cards to each one of them.  Making the seed packets are really quite easy.  I then wanted something to put them in so I took a small gift box and cut it down to the size I wanted.  I them took that and got my dimensions from it to make my own out of paper.  You  must have a cute holder for your packets.  I think anyway.
You could gift this to someone who loves gardening, cooking or even visiting their local Farmer's Market.
I could use these to put seeds in or recipes for my favorite foods.

This collection is so cute I couldn't help myself so I decided to make a card to go with it.

and a side view

Thank you for visiting today. I hope I inspired you to join in our challenge.
There will be prizes to be won: Prizes are awesome!
And don't forget to jump over to The Paper Parade
She has an Amazing SALE going on right now.

Products use:

-Jillibean Soup - Fresh Vegetable Soup Collection - Crushed Ginger 12x12 Double-sided Paper

Thermo web super tape.
Hope to see you soon.

PYC Challenge #1 - Down By the Sea Theme

PYC Challenge #1 - Down By the Sea Theme

Hello My Crafty friends

ARE YOU READY FOR THIS???

The first Parade Your Crafts Challenge starts
NOW!!!!

YAY!!!

We are all so very excited to get started.
So lets do this!!!

The theme is: Down by the sea

Here's what I created:

I used quite a few layers on my card.
First I layered two different pattern papers to get the ocean feel and then a torn solid and again another pattern.  Echo Park has really cute paper and the collection "Sunshine" was perfect for the theme.
I then took a couple stamps from Unity to stamp my
chick, umbrella and title "Good Times".
I colored them with my spectrum noir markers.
I went back to my pattern paper and cut out the cute little surf boards which added that extra touch.

And talking about extra touch...who doesnt like glitter and added texture.  Well I know I do and this card wouldnt have been complete without some sort of sand.  So I added a little textured glitter. I was excited to play and create with Therm-o-web super tape.  It is awesome for adding glitter to you projects.
If you havent tried it yet, you should.  And it is so easy to use.  Hey guess what?
Here is a close up look to my card:

I hope I have inspired you today.
