Enjoy life

Enjoy Life

Good morning crafty friends.  Im up on the SumMoreFun blog today for my Monday post.

Life has sure become busy.  Seems like we are being pulled in one direction and then the other.
Do you get the chance to remind yourself to
Just enjoy life?

I think we all need to do this in our lives.
Just stop and enjoy what is going on around us.
This is what inspired my small canvas I made for today.
I just need to remind myself to be still, smell the flowers, enjoy nature, the quiet, the birds chirping.

I painted my canvas in black, then stamped the large stemmed daisy by Victorine Originals in red paint.
I added some texture using a stencil.
Almost to look like a path.
Added some distressed papers and stamped this cute bicycle from the Bicycle set w/ Penny Farthing
I also stamped the daisy on different papers and fussy cut them out.
You can find the product list on my blog at thetigershaven.blogspot.com

My project also goes with the current Mood Board Challenge we have going on.

Heres a look at the Mood Board

I hope you will join us for your chance to win!!! Link up your projects today, you only have a few days left.

I hope you find time to enjoy life.
Stop and smell the flowers.

Keep Moving-SumMoreFun Mood Board Challenge 22

Keep Moving
SumMoreFun
Mood Board
Challenge #22

A New Challenge is up on the SumMoreFun blog.

Here is our Mood Board

You can use anything from the board that inspires you. Something from a photo or even the colors.
I was inspired by the bike and the red daisy.
I was also inspire to challenge myself to use red. Something I don't normally do.

Here is my inspiration piece for you.

Starting out with a blank canvas, I attached tissue paper to the canvas using modge podge.  After letting it sit over night to dry, I added texture using whipped spackle.
I then used paint until I was happy with the outcome.
Making sure my colors were showing thru.
I chose a few stamps from Victorine Originals bicycle set w\ Penny Farthing.. Which is such a neat stamp set.
Stamped them on brown paper then distressed.
I also used the large stemmed daisy from Victorine Originals.
Stamping it out about 3 times then fussy cutting, I attached each one on top of the other to form a 3D daisy flower.
I knew I wanted the daisy to pop so I made sure when I was painting to have a dark area I could place it.
I arranged everything on my canvas until it fit.  Adding homemade flowers and a saying.
Its important to me to inspire thru my art and projects and having a positive saying adds that much more.
I hope I was able to inspire you today and maybe enough to have you join in our challenge.
You do have a chance to win when you link up. And the prize is doubled when you use Victorine Originals or Raisin Boat stamps.
Thats pretty awesome!!!
So head on over and join in the fun!!!

Happy Valentine's Day with Oriental Trading

Oriental Trading
Valentine's

Hey there crafty friends.
💕💞Happy Valentines Day!!💕💞
Have you made something for that special someone, that best friend or the kiddo in your life?
I wanted to share with you today a few ideas I came up with using some things from the amazing Oriental Trading Company.

Here is a full view of all the different goodies I made.

 Arent these so cute??

There are so many different gift boxes at Oriental Trading Company.
With just a little Creativity you can come up with something for any occassion.
I stamped cute hearts on two of these boxes.
Made the Love box in the back and stuffed the purple boxes with candy and a stuffed bear.  I also put a design the plain ceramic Hearts using stencils, paint, ink and colorbursts.

Who doesnt like having a bottle of wine on Valentines day?
Wine not your choice, thats ok.
The cute mustache bag fits most bottles of anything.

I also took the cute tin cans and added washi tape to decorate them up and added Hershey kisses inside.
The wood hearts I colored and wrote love on to add a nice and sweet addition to my Valentine's.
Now whats a Valentine without a card?
Oriential Trading also has card making supplies.
I used their colored cardstock to make this card as well as the adorable puppy love stamp set they have.

This card will be going to my son today.
Every year I make sure he knows he is loved a little extra by cards and candy just like I would give my other half.
He is my ❤  Heart ❤
And never to be forgotten or left out.

I hope you enjoyed my post. And have a wonderful Valentines day full of love.
It is not a day just for relationships
Its a day that should be everyday, that we show our love for one another.

Hugs
Amy

Be mine Canvas

Be mine
Canvas

Hey crafty friends,
Im up on the SumMoreFun blog today to share a Valentine canvas with you.
I used Victorine Originals I love you heart and Be Mine, Valentine stamps.

I started out with a flat canvas, added texture using gesso.
After that dried, I painted the canvas using alot of color.
With our recent challenge, it challenged me to add red to my projects, which is something I don't normally do.
I do like the look of red bleeding thru the canvas in areas.
I then colored my cardboard peice and stamped it.
Looking thru my stash, I was able to find many valentine related pieces to add.
After finding the right spot for everything, I glued everything down to the canvas.
I stamped the Be Mine portion of the stamp to add additional wording.
Product list at end of post.

Remember we have a challenge going on right now.

Wood Burning Valentine - SumMoreFun Mood Board Challenge 21

SumMoreFun
Mood Board
Challenge #21

Wood Burning
Valentine

Its time for another Challenge over on the SumMoreFun blog.

Here is our Mood Board

Remember you can use anything from the board. Hearts or something else from a picture or even one of the colors for inspiration!!!

Here is my inspiration piece I made for you.

I used Victorine Originals I love you Heart.
After seeing the wood, I knew I wanted to do wood burning. And since its been a while since I have.. It was perfect.
I started out by stamping my image on the wood. The ink blends with the burning wood to give it a darker color.
After slowly going around my heart image filled with I love you's, I stared at it for a while to see what was next. I couldn't leave the background plain.
Thats just not my style.
So, I pulled out some stencils I had and chose one I had made.
Its a simple one but gives me an outline.
I traced lightly with a pencil.
Then went back to wood burning.
I filled in the very back by shading.
I also had some wood hearts in my stash and shaded them as well before attaching them in the center of the heart.
I cant say I didnt burn myself..
I did.
But it sure was a fun project and I am either going to hang it on the wall or use it as part of my other half's Valentine.

Maybe a box or book of some kind.
I hope I have inspired you to think outside the box, go beyond your boundaries or try something new.
Even if you have wood burned before.. Enter our challenge.. Show everyone what talent you have and that you dare to be different.
Visit the SumMoreFun blog to see my DT sisters inspiration for you and Link those projects up!!!!

You have the chance to WIN!!!
Head over now and see what the prize is.
I know its doubled if you use Victorine Original Stamps or Raisin Boat stamps.
