Simon Say Challenge

Simon Say Challenge:

This weeks Theme is: Anything Goes

So I decided to get in on this challenge this week too.  So Happy to be able to do so.
Here is the card I made for the challenge.

I needed to make a card for Fathers day for my dad which will be here before you know it.  So This one is perfect for that.
I stamped using and old car stamp from stamping up.
I did my background first on my card,
then stamped a piece of paper lighter in color.
I took the paper and ripped it around the image then added ink to the outside edges to give it an antique effect.
Of course I added A Happy Father's Day sentiment and attached it with brads.
Here is another photo to see in different light:

If you want to join in the challenge there is still time.
Go to: http://www.simonsaysstampschallenge.blogspot.com/
and find out how to play.

Did you know you can win a prize too.  Oh Yeah... That is always nice.
Here is the prize you can win

Exciting right???
I hope you like my card today.
Thanks for coming by for a visit
See you next time

Ribbon Carousel Monthly Challenge.

This months theme is " Showers and Flowers"

I am so excited that I have time this month to join in the fun.
Time is usually not on my side so this is a big deal for me.
YAY!!

This one ends April 30th so you still have time to play.

Here is my card:

The paper is just some I had laying around.  But the stamps are from:
Flower: Maya Road
and
Butterfly: studio 112
I used Ribbon and Twine on this card.
I do like how it turned out.  I used two toned Ink for the flower and colored in my butterfly with colored pencil.  It worked out nicely too because the ink was not quite dry when I started and it blended with the colored pencil to add a great effect.
Thanks for stopping by today.
And don't forget you too can still enter this challenge.  The winner gets a Ribbon Carousel.
Woot Woot.  Wouldnt that be AWESOME!!
I know I sure could use one.
Just hit the link and go on over.

200th Challenge at Cupcake Inspirations

200th Challenge at Cupcake Inspirations

Today I am showing you a card that I created for Cupcake Inspirations.

In this challenge you choose a cupcake from their past cupcakes and take the inspiration you received from it to make a card.  Here is the cupcake I chose.

Isn't it so pretty???
I thought so.

So I drew up a sketch of what I thought my card would look like.  While I was creating it turned out a little different and I am so happy with the result.  Here is my card for the challenge.

and a couple more shots of up-close area's....

I hope you enjoyed my card today.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.  I will be back next week

Designed to color Birthday Bash

               Designed to Color Birthday Bash!!!!

Hello everyone.  I know,  I know I have now blogged in a lil while.....But that has not stopped me from creating.  I have not had too much time on my hands and any time I can find I am trying to create and play.

Today I am sharing with you that this weekend Designed to color has been having a Birthday bash.  You still have time to join in and play along if you want.  They extended it one more day.  They have had challenges every day.  Friday's Challenge is a Tic Tac Toe Challenge.

I chose to do Bling, Aqua, Presents for my card.  I used Faber Castell water color pencils for my image, as well as Spectrum Noir markers for my flowers.  The flowers were actually part of a paper doily I cut out and colored.  I am impressed how the flowers turned out.

This photo is a lil dark, but I wanted my background detail to show.
                                                               Here is the lighter photo.

I hope you enjoyed this card.  I love the colors.  There is still time to join in the fun.  Head to Designed to Colors FB page, LIKE their page and join in the party.  Head to their blog too and most of all have FUN!!!

Thanks for visiting.

Happy Halloween!!!

Wow.......I am a lil' far behind on keeping up with my blog.  Things have really been crazy lately and so much to do.  I havent been able to take the time out to post anything.  I am going to try to keep up on posting as I create.  Thanks to anyone out there sticking with me.  Today I am going to post a photo of my Pumpkin I carved for Halloween.  By the way: Thank you to my Husband for buying me a dremel tool.  I had a ton of fun carving this out.  Although it did take a long time to do. :)

And here is it lit up......

I had fun with this and plan to use my dremel for other projects as well.
For another project I have done recently I was challenged over at the Fiskateers site to decorate a Witch's Hat.  Here is my finished project, and please excuse the photos are not the best.

Some Ive been meaning to share.

Hi there my friends.  Here again today to share so more projects Ive been meaning to share.  I took a few challenges about a month back on the Fiskateer site.  I wanted to share them with you.

I made this for The challenge "The Envelope please".  I decided to make a winners envelope.

I cut a strip of my black sparkly paper and the felt stars are from a RAK  I won.  The Silver pieces are chipboard.  I also won a little goodie bag on this one. YAY!!  Nothing like Fiskars tools.

My second was from another challenge on the Fiskateer site.  "And the Nominee's Are:"  challenge.
I went with the movie the "Help" And of course Minnie's Pie.
I made a recipe box.
The paper choices were from Minnie's dress for the bottom part and for the lid Green was the color of her hat.  I made a Mini Pie for the top and made a like book.  I added a paper rose and some twine to top it off.
Here is a close up of  the top.

Hope you like my projects.  Im outta here for the day.  I hope to post a couple more projects tomorrow.

Thanks for visiting.
