Growing in Unity Day 1

Good Morning!!!!  I'm here today for day 1 of my Growing in Unity week.  Today I'm sharing a easy mixed media canvas I did using Unity Stamps.  I decide to challenge myself using Sentiment stamps.

I started with a blank canvas and added some demention using a stencil and modeling paste.  Before letting it dry completely I sprinkled on liquid sparkle from Ken Oliver. Spraying with water until I covered the entire canvas with color. I hold my canvas in the air and move it around to let the excess drip off.  This can be messy so you always want to have you table covered or go outside.

I then used my heat gun to help the drying process.  You have to be careful as modeling paste will bubble up if you get it to hot under the gun.  Now that my background is complete and dry, I can add some fun layers from my stash. Pretty paper, netting which I also colored and some paper feathers I made a while ago from a mould.

I stamped using the Sentiment "Love my Tribe" by Unity Stamp Company on some whit cardstock and then burnt the edges, well because I like the look.

I attached all the pieces and came up with this simple but beautiful canvas.

Remember to comment on my blog each day this week and I will pick 2 winners at the end of the week to win $20 to Unity Stamp Company for each of the 2 winners.

That's it for today. Thank you for coming to my blog. I hope I was able to inspire you. See you all tomorrow.

Hugs
Amy
