Choose to shine SumMoreFun Mood Board Challenge36

Choose to shine

SumMoreFun
Mood Board
Challenge #36

A New challenge is up on the
 SumMoreFun blog today.

Here is our Mood Board

Here is my project to inspire you.

Using Raisin Boat's Growing Love stamp set I stamped my images intentionally upside down. That was not a mistake. I wanted them to look like they were falling or flying in the wind .
I distressed around the edges and added a layer of papers behind. I set that part aside while I worked on my back ground. I added more layers of patterned paper directly to my canvas (hard cardboard).
I then used whipped spackle and gesso to add stencils and smears.
I also took the smaller stamps from the set and used them for my backhround using different color ink and stamping here and there.
I then started piecing my layers together and attaching them. Adding molds I made and other things from my stash like thread, washi tape, flowers and die cuts I previously had cut and flat backs.
I watered down my paint and splashed black and white on top using a paint brush. I also used my distress oxide inks to add details to the molds and for distressing.

Here's a close up.

I hope I was able to inspire you today.

Dreamer

Dreamer!!

Good Morning crafty friends.
I am up on the SumMoreFun blog
today to share a
Mixed media canvas I made using one of the new releases.
A Rose by any other name.

I used one of the Rose stamps.
I stamped my image on a craft cardstock and colored it using Spectrum Noir color pencils. I fussy cut it out and set aside.
Using a blank canvas, I added gesso to seal my canvas and using stencils with whipped spackle I was able to add some texture.
I painted with colorbursts, adding water with a spray bottle until I was happy with the look.
After drying I added a dream catcher that I had fixed back up and added my stamped image to it.
This stamp set is amazing and Beautiful!
I then added a few metal finding peices from my stash and the word dreamer.
If you want to see more take a look around my blog for more inspiration.

Voyage SumMoreFun Mood Board Challenge35

Voyage

SumMoreFun
Mood Board
Challenge #35

A New challenge is up on the
 SumMoreFun blog today.

Here is our Mood Board

Here is my project to inspire you.

Using Victorine Originals Map Background stamp, I first stamped my image.
I decided to cut it and make two peices of a map.
Using gesso and my DecoArt paints I created a background color on canvas.
I then attached my map peices.
I used moss and twine as well as a few things from my stash.
I didn't intend for this to go more ocean themed but that's the beauty of art.  Sometimes things just are going to be what they want.

Just wanted to say hi!

Just wanted to say hi!

Good Morning crafty friends.
I am up on the SumMoreFun blog
today to share a
Card I made using Victorine Originals Stained glass butterflies and a sentiment "Just wanted to say hi!".

I started out by stamping the stained glass image. I then took my glitter gel pens and started coloring making sure I was attaching each butterfly as it should be.
I did have to draw one small line to make one butterfly look right to me. But other than that, it was fairly easy to get it right. Being stained glass, its almost like a puzzle in a way.  And I love puzzles so it was fun to color.
I then cut my image down and attached it to my color layers to make it stand out.
I added the sentiment for a sweet hello card.

Ive also been given the hint to do something completely different with this same image by Sabrina, our wonderful boss lady.
So look back in a few weeks as Ive already started playing around with her idea.

Live your dreams SumMoreFun Mood Board Challenge#34

Live your dreams

SumMoreFun
Mood Board
Challenge #34

A New challenge is up on the
 SumMoreFun blog today.

Here is our Mood Board

Here is my project to inspire you.

I was inspired by the top left picture. And the colors. I don't usually use yellow, so I decided to challenge myself with that color.
I started out with a white canvas.  I havent drawn in a while so I decided to draw right in the canvas some flowers and vines/leaves to include a garden feel.  Using Ken Oliver color Mineral like watercolor, I added yellow all around and colored my flowers and leaves in.
I stamped my image on white cardstock and colored the flowers using glitter gel pens.
I fussy cut it out and started figuring out my layers. Adding flowers, paper, burlap and other bits from my stash.
Once I felt they found their spot I attached each piece to the canvas.
I also added the words
"Live your dreams".
Because every canvas needs a bit of a saying.

Here is a close up

I hope I was able to inspire you to join in our #Challenge.
