Thanks SumMoreFun challenge37

Thanks for helping me grow!

SumMoreFun
Mood Board
Challenge #37

A New challenge is up on the
 SumMoreFun blog today.

Here is our Mood Board

Here is my project to inspire you.

Using Raisin Boat's Growing Love Stamp set.
I started out using my distress oxide inks to add my fall colors using red, orange and yellow.  I then stamped my image in green.
Added a few drops with the stamp from the set.  To make it look like its spreading its seeds for next year.
I honestly dont know why I keep using this stamp upside down. But to me it gives it so much more. Thinking outside the box, I guess.

I added a few layers of colored papers to make it pop.
And added the sentiment from the set.

Choose to shine SumMoreFun Mood Board Challenge36

Choose to shine

SumMoreFun
Mood Board
Challenge #36

A New challenge is up on the
 SumMoreFun blog today.

Here is our Mood Board

Here is my project to inspire you.

Using Raisin Boat's Growing Love stamp set I stamped my images intentionally upside down. That was not a mistake. I wanted them to look like they were falling or flying in the wind .
I distressed around the edges and added a layer of papers behind. I set that part aside while I worked on my back ground. I added more layers of patterned paper directly to my canvas (hard cardboard).
I then used whipped spackle and gesso to add stencils and smears.
I also took the smaller stamps from the set and used them for my backhround using different color ink and stamping here and there.
I then started piecing my layers together and attaching them. Adding molds I made and other things from my stash like thread, washi tape, flowers and die cuts I previously had cut and flat backs.
I watered down my paint and splashed black and white on top using a paint brush. I also used my distress oxide inks to add details to the molds and for distressing.

Here's a close up.

I hope I was able to inspire you today.

Voyage SumMoreFun Mood Board Challenge35

Voyage

SumMoreFun
Mood Board
Challenge #35

A New challenge is up on the
 SumMoreFun blog today.

Here is our Mood Board

Here is my project to inspire you.

Using Victorine Originals Map Background stamp, I first stamped my image.
I decided to cut it and make two peices of a map.
Using gesso and my DecoArt paints I created a background color on canvas.
I then attached my map peices.
I used moss and twine as well as a few things from my stash.
I didn't intend for this to go more ocean themed but that's the beauty of art.  Sometimes things just are going to be what they want.

Just wanted to say hi!

Just wanted to say hi!

Good Morning crafty friends.
I am up on the SumMoreFun blog
today to share a
Card I made using Victorine Originals Stained glass butterflies and a sentiment "Just wanted to say hi!".

I started out by stamping the stained glass image. I then took my glitter gel pens and started coloring making sure I was attaching each butterfly as it should be.
I did have to draw one small line to make one butterfly look right to me. But other than that, it was fairly easy to get it right. Being stained glass, its almost like a puzzle in a way.  And I love puzzles so it was fun to color.
I then cut my image down and attached it to my color layers to make it stand out.
I added the sentiment for a sweet hello card.

Ive also been given the hint to do something completely different with this same image by Sabrina, our wonderful boss lady.
So look back in a few weeks as Ive already started playing around with her idea.

Live your dreams SumMoreFun Mood Board Challenge#34

Live your dreams

SumMoreFun
Mood Board
Challenge #34

A New challenge is up on the
 SumMoreFun blog today.

Here is our Mood Board

Here is my project to inspire you.

I was inspired by the top left picture. And the colors. I don't usually use yellow, so I decided to challenge myself with that color.
I started out with a white canvas.  I havent drawn in a while so I decided to draw right in the canvas some flowers and vines/leaves to include a garden feel.  Using Ken Oliver color Mineral like watercolor, I added yellow all around and colored my flowers and leaves in.
I stamped my image on white cardstock and colored the flowers using glitter gel pens.
I fussy cut it out and started figuring out my layers. Adding flowers, paper, burlap and other bits from my stash.
Once I felt they found their spot I attached each piece to the canvas.
I also added the words
"Live your dreams".
Because every canvas needs a bit of a saying.

Here is a close up

I hope I was able to inspire you to join in our #Challenge.

SumMoreFun
Mood Board
Challenge #33

A New challenge is up on the
 SumMoreFun blog today.

Here is our Mood Board

Ok.. So this is my kind of Mood Board.
I love butterflies and I love Teal colors.
I was pretty excited about this challenge.
Perfect, dont you think?
Here is my project to inspire you.

I used Raisin Boat's Imagine set to create this fun and awesome mixed media canvas.
I started off by sealing my canvas and using Prima/Finnabair to add my colors.
I used a few stencils to add a butterfly, the word Dream and the alpha's in the background.
I used a stencil to add the sun rays by splattering paint.
I then started adding together my layers.
I sprayed gauze with ink to add color but also to leave some white.
I used Distress ink to stain my wood veneer frame.
I used color bursts and mineral bursts to color my flower and my butterfly.
Which gave them both a watercolor look.
Adding a few pieces I made with clay and molds.

I hope this project inspires to to play along

Be You!!

Be You!!

Good Morning crafty friends.
I am up on the SumMoreFun blog
today to share a
Card I made using Victorine Originals Double take Butterfly stamp and a stamp from Raisin boats Imagine set.

I started out by stamping the shaded Butterfly part first in one color and then stamped the outline over the top in a different color.
I use Distress Oxide inks to stamp and then used them to distress all around my paper.
By doing this I am able to play around with my backgrounds and distressing to create something unusual and fun.
I stamped the Be You sentiment amd used my Fiskars 1/4 in. Circle punch to punch it perfectly.
I also added another butterfly using my Fiskars butterfly punch and distressing it with the inks and outlining it using glitter gel pens.

Thats it for me today.

Best Wishes SumMoreFun Mood Board Challenge 31

Best Wishes!!!

SumMoreFun
Mood Board
Challenge #31

A New challenge is up on the
 SumMoreFun blog today.

Here is our Mood Board

Here is my project to inspire you.
Using Victorine Originals' Cake stamp and Best Wishes Stamp.

I started out by stamping the Cake image many times to decide what color I wanted to use.
I even embossed it and nothing seemed to be what I was going for  until I stamped it in a multi color.
I wasn't looking to go for just a traditional Wedding card.
I wanted something different.
So I then Die cut around my image with a cute but fancy border.
I then stamped using the Best Wishes stamp.
Note: I only used the Best Wishes part of the stamp.
The complete saying is Best Wishes on your Wedding day.
I then used my Fiskars border punch and punched hearts on opposite sides.
I attached them both to a black background to make them pop.

Now its your turn.... Join in the fun!!!
I hope to see your creations soon.

Fish and Gears

Fish and Gears!!

Good Morning crafty friends.
I am up on the SumMoreFun blog
today to share a
Masculine card using Victorine Originals Bass stamp with you all.

I know alot of people have problems creating masculine cards, so I wanted to create something to hopefully inspire those.
I started out with a paper from Prima.
It was tan with splotches of white.
This gave me my base to go from.
I added the dots using oxide inks and a stencil.
I distressed the edges with black oxide ink.
And brushed a little throughout.
Taking a torn peice of cardboard I distressed it as well.
Attached it to my base and added my black peice which is a cut up onion bag, but looks like a net.
I then stamped my fish image.
Fuzzy cut it out and colored it in gel pens to highlight it.
I also added a few metal gears and a crab.

Fathers day SumMoreFun Mood Board Challenge 30

Fathers day!!!

SumMoreFun
Mood Board
Challenge # 30

A New challenge is up on the
 SumMoreFun blog today.

Here is our Mood Board

Here is my project to inspire you.

Father's day is drawing near and it is really hard for me this year.
My dad passed away last year, Just after Father's day.
This year, since I do have someone in my life special to me and special to my son  A man that stepped up and took on that responsibility when he didnt have to, I still decided to go ahead and make something.  But I did a little something different.
No cards... I just can't yet.
But an album cover to add too as I chose.

Using Victorine Originals- Text Background.

I started out with Prima Paper. The design was a perfect fit. Although I did alter it some with my own touch.
I ripped a page from an old book and distressed the edges.
I stamped my image twice on two different colored papers.
This stamp has an outline around that I actually trimmed away as I felt it was holding everything inside the box.
As I'm an outside the box thinker, I think I have an OCD about things being kept Inside the lines or box.
It really puts a block on things flowing...
Mentally and visually.

I added some metal pieces from my stash that looked older since that was the look I was going for.
Adding some cardboard peices for texture and some more distressing along the way.
I also added some word stickers to bring it all together.

And a closer look

Good Morning crafty friends.
I am up on the SumMoreFun blog
today to share a
Thinking of you card I made using Raisin Boat's "Oops a daisy" stamp set.

As you can tell I've been playing around with my Distress Oxide inks again.
I started out by blending a few colorful colors in my background.
I then stamped my daisy images directly onto the colors.
I then blended black all around the edges.
I chose a few colorful papers to layer it.
I stamped the Thinking of you sentiment and attached it using 3D foam tabs.

Proud of you!!!

Proud of you!!!

Good Morning crafty friends.
I am up on the SumMoreFun blog
today to share a
Card I made using Raisin Boat's
Strokes of Pride stamp set.

This card is for my son. He is Graduating 6th grade this year.
Growing up way to fast, that's for sure!!!
I started out using heavy card stock. I stamped my images using the Tim Holtz stamp platform to align them the way I wanted.
This stamps set is great for using the different words for a quote and perfect to tell my son how PROUD I am of him.
Using Distress oxides ink, I blended around the edges to add a distress look and add some design around the words.
I added layers of different colored paper to make it all come together.

Mood Board
Challenge #28

A New challenge is up on the
 SumMoreFun blog today.

Are you ready to join in for your chance to win???

Here is our Mood Board

All you have to do is find what inspires you from the Mood Board.
A picture, something from one of the photos or even the color combo.

Here is what I made to inspire you

And another look

Using Raisin Boat's Strokes of Pride Set, I created this card.
I first started out with Mixed Media paper and Distress Oxides.
I blended using blue as a base.
I didn't want it to just be all blue, so I played with it until I was happy with the look.
The design kind of looks like a flag the is waving in the wind.
I then stamped using Oxide inks again for the Red marks in a design like our USA flag.
I stamped the star in white.
I also stamped the USA in black ink.
I really enjoyed how this card turned out.
I hope it inspires you to play along with our challenge.
